Faina Balakhovskaia

Faina Balakhovskaya is a Moscow art critic and a curator. She has worked for such magazines as Artkhronika, TimeOut Moscow and the newspaper Time for News. She mainly works on the Russian avant-garde, Socialist Realism, and Russian contemporary art. At the same time she is a curator of museum exhibitions such as "Gelyi Korzhev" (State Tretiakov Gallery), "Leonid Sokov. Unforgettable meetings" (State Tretiakov Gallery) and "Schriftbild. Russiche Avantgarde" (Deutschen Nationalbibliothek, Leipzig). Currently she is holding a position of Advisor to the General Director of the State Tretiakov Gallery.
